CALL FOR PAPERS

The 1st International Congress on Social, Humanities and Applied Sciences, organized by Kadim Academy, will be held in Antalya, Türkiye, on 2–4 November 2026, with both in-person and online participation options.

The congress aims to bring together academics, researchers, and graduate students from various disciplines within the framework of scientific knowledge exchange and academic interaction. It seeks to support original scholarly research conducted in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and applied sciences, to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and to strengthen international academic communication.

The congress will provide participants with the opportunity to present their research on an international academic platform, engage in scientific discussions with experts in their respective fields, and develop new academic collaborations. We would be delighted to welcome esteemed researchers to our congress, where high-quality academic papers will be presented.

We believe that this congress, founded upon the importance of scientific production and academic exchange, will create a dynamic environment for academic interaction by bringing together researchers from different countries and disciplines.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

1. Participation Types and Registration Fees

  • Participation is open to all researchers, including specialists, academics, and students.
  • The Congress offers both online and in-person participation options.
  • The registration fee for online participation is USD 100. It is sufficient for only one of the authors listed in a paper to pay the registration fee.
  • The registration fee for in-person participation is USD 600. This fee includes two nights of all-inclusive accommodation for one participant in a double room.
  • Participants wishing to attend the Congress as audience members are required to complete their registration within the specified deadlines.

2. Paper Submission and Review Process

  • All submitted abstracts and full-text papers will undergo a scientific review process.
  • Papers will be evaluated by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field through a double-blind peer-review system.
  • During the review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers will remain confidential.
  • Based on the reviewers’ reports, papers will receive one of the following decisions:
    • Acceptance
    • Revision Required (major or minor revisions)
    • Rejection
  • Papers that are not deemed to meet the required scientific standards will not be included in the Congress program.

3. Submission and Preliminary Review

  • Papers shall be submitted through the application forms published on the Congress website.
  • Submitted manuscripts will first be examined in terms of technical and formatting requirements.
  • Studies that fall outside the scope of the Congress, fail to comply with academic writing standards, or exhibit a high similarity rate may be returned without being sent to the peer-review process.

4. Presentation Guidelines

  • The Congress will accept oral presentations only.
  • There will be no poster presentations or special session formats.
  • Participants may present their papers in Turkish, English, or Arabic.
  • A maximum of three authors may be listed on a paper. This limitation does not apply to presentations based on funded projects (e.g., TÜBİTAK, ERASMUS, etc.).

5. Publication Process

  • Accepted abstracts will be published in the electronic Abstract Proceedings Book.
  • Researchers who wish to submit full-text papers may do so in accordance with the deadlines specified in the Congress schedule.
  • Full-text papers will be published in the electronic Congress Proceedings Book with an ISBN number.
  • Typesetting and publication processes will be carried out by the Organizing Committee.

6. Certificates and Invitation Letters

  • Certificates of Participation will be issued to all authors who deliver a presentation at the Congress.
  • Upon request, an official invitation letter and an acceptance letter will be provided for accepted papers.

7. Program and Organizational Process

  • The Congress program will be prepared by the Organizing Committee according to the subject areas of the accepted papers.
  • Presentation times and session rooms will be announced in the official Congress program.
  • The Congress will be conducted in a hybrid format, with in-person and online presentation sessions organized separately.

8. Ethical Principles

  • The Congress process will be conducted in accordance with international standards of scientific ethics and academic publishing principles.
  • All participants are required to adhere to the principles of academic integrity, scientific ethics, and copyright regulations.
  • Authors shall bear full responsibility for plagiarism, fabrication, data manipulation, and other forms of ethical misconduct.
  • Studies in which ethical violations are identified may be withdrawn from the Congress at any stage of the review, evaluation, or publication process.

9. Appeals and Communication Process

  • Participants may submit their opinions, requests, and appeals regarding the Congress process in writing via e-mail to the Congress Secretariat.
  • All submissions will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee, and where necessary, appropriate revisions and notifications will be provided.

10. General Provisions

  • All participants who submit an application to the Congress shall be deemed to have accepted the Congress rules and regulations.
  • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make amendments to the schedule and implementation procedures whenever deemed necessary.

Writing Guidelines

Abstract Submission Guidelines

1. Content of the Study

The abstract must clearly and concisely present the aim, significance, methodology, and findings/results of the study. These components should be expressed in a coherent and comprehensible academic style.

2. Use of the Application Form

Abstracts must be submitted using the official application form available on the Congress website.

3. Word Limit

The abstract should be prepared within a range of 250–400 words. Authors are expected to present the essential aspects of their study clearly and effectively within these limits.

4. Language Requirements and Keywords

Abstracts must be written in both Turkish and English. The abstract in each language should be clear, accurate, and consistent with academic writing conventions. In addition, 4–6 keywords must be provided in both languages.

5. Title Format

In both the Turkish and English titles, only the first letters of the words should be capitalized. The use of fully capitalized titles should be avoided.

6. Formatting and Style

The abstract must be prepared in Times New Roman, 12-point font.

7. Author Name and Surname

The author’s name and surname should be written centered directly below the title. An asterisk (*) should be placed next to the author’s name, with a corresponding footnote provided at the bottom of the page.

The footnote should include the following information in order:

  • Academic title
  • Institutional affiliation
  • E-mail address
  • ORCID ID

In cases of multiple authorship, the order of authors should reflect the relative level of contribution made to the study.

Full-Text Paper Formatting Guidelines

1. Page Layout and General Formatting

Page Setup

  • Paper Size: A4 paper size must be used.
  • Margins: Top, bottom, left, and right margins must be set to 2.5 cm.
  • Font and Size: The manuscript must be prepared in Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Line and Paragraph Spacing: 1.5 line spacing must be used. Paragraph spacing should be set to 6 pt.
  • Paragraph Indentation: Each paragraph must begin with a 1.25 cm indentation.
  • Text Alignment: The text must be justified.

2. Headings

Main Title

  • The title of the paper should be centered at the top of the first page.
  • Only the first letters of the words should be capitalized.
    (Example: “Global Media and the Image of Palestine”)

Subheadings

  • Subheadings should not be numbered.
  • They should be written in bold, with the first letter of each word capitalized.

Spacing Before and After Headings

  • Subheadings should be formatted with 18 pt spacing before and 12 pt spacing after.

3. Author Information

  • The author’s name and surname should be centered directly below the title.
  • An asterisk (*) should be placed next to the author’s name, with a corresponding footnote provided at the bottom of the page.
  • The footnote should include the following information in order:
    • Academic title
    • Institutional affiliation
    • E-mail address
    • ORCID ID
  • In cases of multiple authorship, the order of authors should reflect the relative contribution of each author to the study.

4. Abstract and Keywords

Turkish and English Abstracts

  • The paper must begin with abstracts written in both Turkish and English.
  • Each abstract should contain 250–500 words.

Keywords

  • 4–6 keywords must be provided in both languages.

5. Main Text

Introduction

  • The purpose, significance, and scope of the study should be clearly stated.

Main Sections

  • The details of the study should be presented under appropriate subheadings.

Conclusion

  • The findings, conclusions, and recommendations of the study should be discussed in detail in this section.

6. Quotations and Citations

  • Citations must be provided in footnotes according to the Chicago Manual of Style, 18th Edition (Notes and Bibliography System).
  • Long quotations should be indented 1.25 cm from the left margin, written in single spacing, and formatted in italics.

7. Footnotes and References

Footnotes

  • Footnotes should appear at the bottom of each page in Times New Roman, 10-point font.

References

  • The reference list should be placed at the end of the paper and arranged alphabetically in accordance with the citation guidelines.

8. Tables, Figures, and Graphs

Numbering

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and provided with titles.
    (Example: Table 1. Population of Palestine)

Titles and Captions

  • Table titles should appear above the table.
  • Figure and graph captions should appear below the figure or graph.

Source Citation

  • The source of all tables, figures, and graphs must be indicated beneath the relevant item.

9. Language and Style

  • A scholarly and academic style should be employed.
  • Unnecessary repetition and subjective expressions should be avoided.
  • Particular attention should be paid to spelling, grammar, and language accuracy.

10. Length of the Full Paper

  • The total length of the manuscript must be a minimum of 5,000 words and a maximum of 7,000 words.
  • Tables, graphs, images, maps, charts, and similar materials are included in the overall word limit.

11. Submission and File Format

  • Papers must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
  • Authors must complete the Full-Text Submission Form sent to them via e-mail and submit their manuscripts accordingly.
